Heading into last term is always a very busy period in the school year. Sixth class are with us for the last time while preparations are ongoing for next years new infant intake. The term is extremely busy on many sporting fronts with numerous teams participating in inter-school football, camogie and hurling. Tours are organised and enjoyed while many class events can be held outdoors and enjoyed more now that we have an outdoor classroom. Unfortunately, this time of the year brings a sadness with it nowadays. We hear of families having to go abroad for work reasons and having to leave their own communities and friends. We hope they keep in touch with Caragh and share with us some of their experiences, their new school setups and that when they return for visits that they will come and spend time with us.
NEXT BOARD MEETING - A meeting on Wednesday December 7th at 8pm in the school. Previous Board and new Board to exchange ideas, plans for future and any necessary business. A new Board has been constituted and take up formal office now.

SCHOOL GARDEN... - The garden is up and running and ready for its seasonal adventures. So far various classes have planted vegetables including potatoes, turnip, carrot, lettuce, peas and beans. Later more varieties will be added including sunflowers and courgettes. Fruit variesties have been in place since last year including strawberries, rasberries and currants. A bed of a dozen herbs brings the sense of smell to the area. Growth is alraedy evident and the various classes involved will follow the development and care needs of their vegetables, fruits or herbs. Other aspects include an insect hotel, bird feeders and stones to grow lichens upon. We invite you to come visit the garden with your child(ren) and sit in the peaceful and sensory filled opportunity it presents.
